On Sunday evening I watched Matthew Ehret's latest conversation with Del Bigtree on The Highwire. If you haven't seen this episode, ‘Into The Deep,’ please check it out. The title above though, in part, is inspired by an earlier conversation on this channel: ‘The Occult Messaging of the Olympics.’
A fun new logo / mascot — pop culture merchandise. Postmodern appropriation of our history strips the meaning from the symbols of our past and repurposes them — for entertainment purposes? To make money? Or to ‘disarm’ psychologically, the hapless and uninformed masses, ‘who have learned nothing and remember nothing’ — those who might (perhaps) be the ‘useful idiots’ (of the puppet masters) in the next revolution. And as you see here, a not so subtle respresentation of history eclipsed: “You don’t need to see any of this anymore, we’re going to provide you with a new understanding of your past — and future.”
There was certainly no shortage of controversy around the Paris Olympics. As always though, when events seem designed to provoke outrage, we should look for the deeper meaning. This was a ‘Spectacle’ of the highest order — a la the 1999 Young British Artist's (YBA) exhibit in Brooklyn, ‘Sensations’ — but on a Global scale. In light of the world’s growing resistance to Woke culture, it was to be expected that the Olympic spectacle would stir controversy. A revisiting of the ‘consumer and leisure-oriented mass culture’ of the Weimar Republic too, is perhaps worthwhile at this point. This is a ‘Cultural Revolution,’ after all, as significant as any that went before.
Whatever dark forces are pulling the strings and manipulating the Western mind currently, they seem compelled to tell us what they’re doing (for whatever reason); and the warning here could not be clearer (for any thinking person). Directly, or indirectly, the powers that be (the powers orchestrating this Olympic Spectacle at least) are providing us with information that could be helpful in countering the ongoing drift from ‘progressive’ to outright ‘transgressive’ culture; which will eclipse, if not totally erase, our understanding of ourselves — and perhaps, even, Western culture itself.
We are all products of our Culture of course, and not one of us should feel confident that we are immune to the subtle influences of our environment (those of mass culture in particular). That ‘invisible environment’ informs all of us; whether we are aware of the influence or not, our perception of the world is being constantly reshaped. Hidden behind the surface appearance of things, within that invisible realm, is an objective reality — a reality that artists (poets and sleuths) often see, and feel compelled to share (whether others ‘like’ it, or not).
‘The poet, the artist, the sleuth - whoever sharpens our perception tends to be antisocial; rarely "well-adjusted", he cannot go along with currents and trends. A strange bond often exists between antisocial types in their power to see environments as they really are. This need to interface, to confront environments with a certain antisocial power is manifest in the famous story "The Emperor's New Clothes.’
― Marshall McLuhan, The Medium is the Massage
Hence, the ‘cult’ in culture; and if we are not aware of this, it goes without saying that we will be especially susceptible to the mind control of those who control our culture. The importance of an independent culture, therefore, should be clear, and we'll return to this in the future.
Here, at the end of another great historic cycle, all things are converging. The lessons of history have been disregarded for a long time, but the wheels of time keep on turning and the French Revolution is an interesting subject to explore right now. Please find time to watch the two conversations above, as an understanding of our past is critical if we're to successfully navigate the years leading up to 2030. . .
And thus, the importance of a Strategic Plan for the people, to take us there. If we do not have a Regional plan that has been written by the people, for the people (as I mention in the letter below), we will get a plan by the corporate stakeholders, for the corporate stakeholders — a plan right out of Klaus Schwab’s The Fourth Industrial Revolution, that will take us straight to that Globalist, technocratic, transhuman vision for 2030 and beyond. I propose we draft our own plan, therefore, as audacious as this may seem.
The Region likely (read: absolutely) won't recognize this, but our representatives take direction from us, and then give orders to staff, here and at the Region (at least, that’s what our town’s current strategic plan states). So it’s time to test our local democracy.
Yesterday I wrote to the Mayor, our Regional Councillor and my local Ward Councillor. I've not yet had a response, but the Region sent emails out this morning acknowledging receipt of our comments on the draft Strategic Plan. Thank you, everyone, who sent comments in, and either copied or forwarded these to me. I would be curious to know how much mail was received, and I hope this will all be made public at some point.
There's lots of text below, so let me leave off here, and share with you yesterday's email (an on-going correspondence actually), and my response to the proposed Strategic Plan (with that outrageous suggestion of a resident-drafted alternative for our representatives to vote on). There is so much more to say, but we'll return to this later and, of course, I welcome your questions.
‘Local developments and the upcoming strategic plan’
Email sent: Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at 4:32 PM
‘Good afternoon, Mayor _____ and Councillors _____ and _____.
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend (and a great summer of course), fall seemed to arrive this morning, in earnest. . .
Sorry we didn't cross paths at the Region this month. It's very difficult for me to attend meetings regularly, as I'm still working. I'll probably retire next year though, and then I can be at all the meetings. I very much look forward to that. . .
Skipping a few points of local interest here (which I excluded from my recent Regional Council presentation too, as you might have seen, since none of my local Council were in attendance that day).
I managed to get my comments on the Region's proposed Strategic Plan in before the Oct 27th deadline. I'm sure this will have been shared with all of you. It seems very clear that this document was (almost) all cut and paste text from international organizations (that have, or should have, no influence here). Recent charges of foreign interference on the federal level in mind: JUST ANNOUNCED 4 Names - Trudeau's MPs LINKED To CHINESE INTERFERENCE
“Good morning. Canada's democracy has been under attack by authoritarian regimes.”
There is also massive foreign interference from other places of course; like Davos, Switzerland, for instance: WEF - Klaus Schwab (founder of The World Economic Forum): “We penetrate the cabinets.” The United Nations and so-called World Health Organization (WHO) are also foreign (unelected and unaccountable) organizations, and they should not be interfering in our lives. Their language and ideas, should not riddle our local Strategic Plan; this also constitutes 'foreign interference,' IMHO. We are proposing, therefore, that the residents of Durham draft a document reflecting our priorities ( Not those of Klaus Schwab, António Guterres, Tedros Ghebreyesus et al ).
Since Council (in Uxbridge at least) takes direction from residents, we will send in our own document, and when the time comes, we suggest you might prefer to vote for our local Regional Strategic Plan, instead of the proposed Globalist Plan — with the best interests of Durham's residents in mind.
Thanks for your time, and again, I look forward to meeting with you all in person soon. Please let me know if you'd be free anytime over the next couple of weeks to sit down for a coffee and a chat.
Best to you all,
David
And, from Saturday, October 26th, 2024:
‘Requested input for the draft 2025 Durham Strategic Plan, and other suggestions.’
Dear Durham Region staff.
I thank you for this opportunity to weigh in again on the drafting of the 2025 Durham Strategic Plan.
Sadly, I see that not many (if any) of the suggestions we residents made were incorporated in the proposed plan. It's almost as if we didn't offer any thoughts on 'envisioning' our Region's future at all.
First and foremost, as an artists (who are always called upon when society reaches a crossroads like this), I am duty bound to insist that the words, 'History,' 'Tradition' and 'Heritage' appear in this document. Not just as empty, reassuring buzzwords, but as a commitment to keep this Region's past alive, to inform our future. The countless United Nations buzzwords that punctuate all 'official'
documents today, must be either defined, or done away with. In the postmodern world, we know words are appropriated and repurposed; and no more so than in the Orwellian 'doublespeak' we see in all of those DEI, ESG, SDG documents: 'Sustainable,' 'inclusive,' 'resilient,' 'equity.' No one is sure what these words mean anymore, and they are as big a headache for you as they are for us.
The United Nations, WHO, WEF, ICLEI, have no legal standing here; at best, they can offer advice. Participation in their suggested programs is voluntary and, as the existing Uxbridge Strategic Plan states, staff make plans 'based on direction from Council, and reflecting the priorities of our residents.' This new Durham Strategic Plan must clearly reject the 'interference' of unelected and unaccountable foreign institutions (and their agents); and disavow, in particular, the brand new UN 'Pact for the Future.'
We have told our elected representatives that we do not want to participate in Globalist initiatives, and we do not want to pay for the schemes that have been foisted on us by Globalist technocrats. The 'chain of command' in a democracy begins with the people. Our elected representatives take direction from the people who elected them, and not from corporate stakeholders or international organizations.
We are inspired now by the proposed bill in the United States: 'The Disengaging Directly from the UN Debacle Act of 2023.' Should this bill pass, the current Globalist erosion of our democracies will come to an end. Great controversy is emerging around the Canadian Bill C-293, which is currently being railroaded through Senate because our elected representatives are not standing up to defend our national sovereignty from those who wish to transfer control of our countries (and Regions) to unelected and unaccountable, Globalist technocrats.
With respect to climate change: There is no climate emergency. The emergency must be rescinded, and before one more taxpayer dollar is spent on climate related initiatives, a thorough study must be undertaken of the seven (plus) States that have already passed (or have proposed) legislation banning weather modification, aerial spraying and geoengineering. These States include, currently: Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Minnesota and South Dakota. This is no longer 'conspiracy theory.'
At the recent Durham Climate Change Roundtable, one of my colleagues tried to present Durham's ICLEI staff with information countering the 'accepted' climate narrative. This person refused to accept (let alone consider) these documents. The current climate narrative has been soundly debunked, and yet staff at the Region (and elsewhere) — those whose salaries depend on this narrative being perpetuated — continue to disregard anything that contradicts their position.
Even the 'Durham Community Energy Plan' (Seizing the Opportunity: The Clean Energy Economy in Durham) disclaimer actually states that the science upon which policy suggestions are based, has not been verified. From opening statements of this document:
‘The information provided by others is believed to be accurate, but has not been verified.’
We have seen that, not only has this information not been verified, 'experts' at the Region, literally do not want to look at anything else. This, of course, is not science. Further to this, and perhaps more importantly:
‘The authors do not accept responsibility for the use of this analysis for any purpose other than that stated above and does not accept responsibility to any third party for the use, in whole or in part, of the contents of this document. . . This analysis applies to the Region of Durham and cannot be applied to other jurisdictions without analysis. Any use by the Region of Durham, project partners, sub-consultants or any third party, or any reliance on or decisions based on this document, are the responsibility of the user or third party.’
Yet plans are afoot to implement programs based on this document (and others like it) at taxpayer expense. We have asked for the documents upon which the 'accepted' climate theories are based, and they have not yet been provided, while our documents are systematically ignored. Nevertheless, the proposed Strategic Plan, which will take us up to 2030, continues to perpetuate unsubstantiated pseudoscience that even the Region hasn't verified and won't stand behind.
The ideas expressed in the appropriately titled and conveniently timed 2020 'Seizing the Opportunity' plan, and in the little-known C-40 Cities plan (which the authors – SSG Sustainability Solutions Group – also quote) will cost taxpayers dearly in the future. These plans will also inflict severe lifestyle and travel restrictions (in contravention of our constitutional rights) and further undermine our property rights. The new Strategic Plan, therefore, must reject these plans (and the ideas therein) specifically.
It would appear our representatives were not actually consulted here (to give them benefit of the doubt) and we must assume they have not read the above mentioned documents; since we have been assured that they would never consider restricting our movements. And yet, this is precisely what both of these documents are about; among other even more alarming things, such as restricting our diets and forcing us to eat alternative proteins (including, insects and lab-grown meat presumably).
The real concerns of residents (most of whom are oblivious to any of this) do not appear to be reflected in the new draft Strategic Plan. The ideas of staff 'experts' however, and of 'partners' and 'businesses' (the 'stakeholders') are clear to see, as evidenced in the Environmental Registry of Ontario linked on the 'Envision Durham' main page. The scientifically unsupported 'Net Zero' 'Community Energy Plan' (in addition to whatever fees the SSG Sustainability Solutions Group was paid) will continue to benefit corporate 'stakeholders' (those lined up to sell their technology and services to the Region), while unwitting (and apparently voiceless) Durham taxpayers will continue to foot the ever escalating bill.
Furthermore, the federal government’s 'Disruptions in the Horizons' 2024 document must be acknowledged and steps taken to avoid these eventualities, including a halt to the so-called 'digital transition' (since we are told there is a growing 'cybersecurity' problem). The current Orwellian digital surveillance and monitoring, data harvesting and monetizing, must also stop.
The Region must reopen the Land Registry Office at Service Canada [Ontario], or in a separate facility, and divest the OMERS pension plan of Teranet. The Region must then 'advocate' to maintain physical land records, and return this registry to full public ownership, whereby all residents of the Region (and province) can benefit, instead of just staff and Councils across the province. This will also eliminate the serious conflict of interest that OMERS' ownership of Teranet currently represents.
A commitment must be made in any new Strategic Plan to reduce taxes and, as suggested in the current draft version of the document, the Region should 'Advocate to the federal and provincial government and agency to advance regional priorities,' including an end to 'unsustainable' levels of immigration (currently forced on the Region).
There is so much more here to address, but clearly, I cannot go through these documents point by point. The deadline for input on this proposed 2025 Strategic Plan is Oct 27th (tomorrow).
I feel certain that many of the other suggestions sent in will now be considered, and that many will be incorporated into a new document, before the final Strategic Plan(s) vote in January 2025. However, our elected representatives (those who represent us, and not the corporate stakeholders) must have another document to vote on; one written by the people, for the people (not by corporate stakeholders, for corporate stakeholders). This invitation is hereby put forward to the residents of Durham Region, to craft an alternative document that our elected representatives can vote on.
We look forward to seeing a revised Strategic Plan, of course, but we also look forward to presenting a document drafted by the residents of Durham Region, which removes all United Nations, ICLEI and World Economic Forum language and initiatives, and replaces these with issues relevant to the people of Durham, and in keeping with the history, traditions and heritage of this Region.
This new document will be delivered before the end of 2024, and it must be considered by our elected representatives when they vote on this matter in 2025. Durham does not need a Globalist plan (full of Globalist buzzwords and Internationalist ideas) that serves the interests of corporate stakeholders. This Region needs an appropriately Regional (shall we say 'Regionalist') plan, which will actually serve the interests of residents and taxpayers in Durham.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to further correspondence.
David Ward
We are under no illusion, of course, that the Region will make any meaningful ‘adjustments’ to the current draft document before that final review in January 2024 (as stated in our confirmations of receipt today). So when the time comes (and well before this) an alternative document must be prepared, and circulated. Otherwise, we will get what we’re given. . . and I know no one here (at least) is willing to accept that Agenda 2030 world, as presented in the documents I know you’ve all read by now.
So our work has just begun, and I look forward to further discussions as we hammer out our vision for the next five years, and beyond.
Thank you for your ongoing interest and support,
David
Thank you for this incredibly thorough and necessary documentation of where we are politically and where/how the people should resist these forces of domination and control. We have been mindlessly ignoring legislation being passed that is against our best interests for a long time because our economic system demands so much of our time, attention and resources that we can scarcely see the freedom and autonomy we've lost. That would be the point,of course. Keep us all distracted while the oligarchs and their minions pick us clean of all our assets.

But that's still no excuse. Our children deserve a better future than the one they have designed for us. The question is...are we willing to do more than talk about it?
